About us

Our services are broad: from workplace management to Microsoft implementations, from security to support. Our clients don't view IT as a cost center, but as an enabler to achieve their organizational goals. And we help them achieve that. At Reliance, everything revolves around trust and entrepreneurship. That's what we give, and that's what we receive in return.

In this role, you'll be based at Reliance's Brightcare ICT location in Almere, our specialist in healthcare and social IT. Brightcare combines in-depth domain knowledge with a warm, people-focused approach. Every day, we build stable, secure, and user-friendly IT that truly works in healthcare. You'll be a technical extension of this mission, working directly with the professionals who serve clients and patients.

Your Role

As a Field Engineer, you'll be the experienced technician on-site: you'll investigate, resolve, and complete the process. You'll combine strong technical skills with clear communication and a focus on delivering the best customer experience. Your base is our Brightcare ICT location in Almere. From there, you'll travel daily to healthcare facilities in the eastern and southeastern Netherlands. You'll liaise closely with planners, Service Delivery, and fellow engineers, ensuring that incidents are handled smoothly and accurately, from initial analysis to accurate reporting.

What you'll be doing:

  • Analyzing and resolving complex hardware and system malfunctions on-site at our healthcare clients.
  • Carrying out repairs, component replacements, configurations, and tests according to agreed-upon procedures.
  • Restoring and setting up workstations, peripherals, and other equipment so that healthcare workers can resume work immediately.
  • Advising on solutions when immediate recovery is not possible, including temporary workarounds and follow-up actions.
  • Recording all performed work, findings, and customer agreements in the appropriate systems, completely and accurately.
  • Processing and managing used and defective parts, including returns and inventory monitoring.
  • Working closely with the planner on scheduling, travel times, priorities, and ticket progress.
  • Providing clear information to customers about status, impact, and expected resolution times, and reporting any SLA violations in a timely manner.
  • Working in accordance with safety and information security guidelines (including VCA and internal standards) and actively identifying risks.
  • Sharing knowledge and best practices with fellow engineers and Service Delivery staff, and contributing to process improvements.
  • In your senior role, you'll serve as a resource for colleagues, handle complex incidents, and contribute to team development.
What we offer:
  • Salary range between €3,000 and €5,200 gross per month based on a 40-hour workweek (depending on experience and seniority in the role).
  • A laptop and phone to perform your work effectively, wherever you are.
  • A mobility allowance or company car.
  • Annual training budget for your technical development, certifications (including VCA), and personal growth.
  • A €20 per month budget for secondary benefits through Alleo.
  • Flexible working: from our office in Almere, from home, and, of course, on-site at client sites.
  • Room for your own initiative, professional growth, and a personal development path.
  • An organization where autonomy is the standard: you will be trusted, responsible, and valued.
About you

We're not looking for a "box pusher" or someone who just does what's on the receipt, but a professional Field Engineer who demonstrates ownership, thinks ahead, and works with our clients with calmness and clarity. You'll feel at home combining technology, service, and being on the road, particularly in the eastern and southeastern Netherlands.

  • MBO work and thinking level, preferably in IT or technology.
  • Several years of experience as a Field Engineer, Onsite Support Engineer, or a similar role, preferably within IT services.
  • Experience with hardware diagnostics, workstations, peripherals, and on-site troubleshooting.
  • VCA certificate or willingness to obtain one in the short term.
  • Basic knowledge of networks, operating systems, and service desk processes.
  • Familiarity with working based on SLAs, protocols, and quality standards.
  • A category B driver's license and willingness to travel to various client locations daily.
  • You live in the eastern or southeastern Netherlands, so your travel time to our clients is well-balanced with your workday.
  • Accurate in registration, administration, and logistics: you document your work clearly and completely.
  • Strong communication skills: you bring calmness, provide clear updates, and coordinate effectively with planners, clients, and colleagues.
  • Proactive and independent: you oversee your day, recognize priorities, and take action when you see opportunities for improvement.
