Resolve incidents, manage environments, and work on migrations and security as part of a small team in Amsterdam.

At Reliance, we know that good IT only truly delivers value when users can rely on it. As a Managed Services Engineer, you’re the one who builds that trust every day. You resolve incidents, manage environments, and ensure customers can move forward without worrying about their IT. From our Amsterdam office, you’ll work as part of a skilled team to create stable, secure, and future-proof environments for clients who count on personalized attention and technical expertise.

About Reliance

Reliance is a growing MSP organization. We bring our expertise together under one recognizable brand, where professionalism and craftsmanship, commitment, decisiveness, and growth across generations converge. We do this with a people-first approach and a targeted focus on added value.

Our scope is broad: from workplace management to Microsoft implementations, from security to support. Our clients don’t view IT as an expense, but as an enabler to achieve their organizational goals. And we help them make that a reality. At Reliance, everything revolves around trust and entrepreneurship. We give that, and we get it back.

Your Role as a Managed Services Engineer

You’ll be part of the Managed Services Operations Center: a compact team of engineers and a coordinator who remotely manage our clients’ office automation systems. You’ll handle incidents ranging from first-line support requests to complex management and outage issues. Because the team is small, you’ll quickly get to know our clients and can truly make a difference through personal attention and technical expertise.

In addition to support, you’ll work on management, monitoring, security services, and projects. You’ll prepare migrations and upgrades and carry them out yourself. This means no two days are the same, and you’ll continue to develop a broad range of technical skills.

What You’ll Be Doing Specifically

  • Resolving incidents and outages, from simple user questions to complex technical issues.
  • Managing and monitoring servers (on-premises and in the cloud), workstations, and network equipment.
  • Working daily with Microsoft 365, Windows Server, and Windows 10/11 environments.
  • Delivering managed security services to protect clients’ data and applications.
  • Preparing and executing migrations, upgrades, and improvements for clients.
  • Collaborating on projects within managed services and infrastructure.
  • Actively contributing ideas for improvements in management, tooling, and service delivery.
  • Collaborating with colleagues in the management center to provide customers with fast and effective support.
  • Working within agreed-upon service hours: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM or 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM.

Your Profile

We’re not looking for someone who simply processes tickets, but for an engineer who takes responsibility for ensuring stable client environments. You’re service-oriented, think practically, and enjoy genuinely helping clients. You feel at home in an MSP environment where technology, collaboration, and reliability come together.

  • Completed MBO-4 degree or higher in the field of IT.
  • Extensive experience as, for example, a system administrator, support engineer, or managed services engineer.
  • Practical experience with Microsoft 365, Windows Server, and Windows 10/11.
  • Experience with Azure, Microsoft Defender for Business, Lighthouse, Endpoint Manager, Datto, PatchMyPC, or Autotask is a plus.
  • Service-oriented with strong communication skills when interacting with customers and colleagues.
  • Flexible attitude and no 9-to-5 mentality.
  • Willing to work varying service hours.

What We Offer You

  • Salary between 2,800 and 4,000 euros gross per month based on a 40-hour workweek, depending on your experience.
  • A laptop and phone to do your job effectively and flexibly.
  • An immediate permanent contract for 40 hours per week.
  • An annual training budget with opportunities for certifications, including Microsoft, VMware, Networking, and ITIL.
  • A budget for employee benefits of 20 euros per month through Alleo.
  • Work from our office in Amsterdam, with the option for hybrid work.
  • A high degree of autonomy and trust in how you organize your work.
  • Opportunities for career advancement toward senior engineer or specialist.
  • A close-knit team where collaboration, expertise, and customer focus are central.

Develop our largest clients and build new strategic partnerships at the executive level, taking ownership of the entire process.

At Reliance, growth isn’t about volume, it’s about value. As a Strategic Contract Manager, you’ll play a key role in strengthening and expanding our largest client relationships and securing new strategic partnerships. You’ll be at the table where decisions are made. You’ll spot opportunities before they become apparent and translate complexity into direction, structure, and impact.

We’re not looking for a traditional salesperson, but a strategic builder, someone who understands organizations at the executive level and, from that position, knows how to create real value, for both the client and Reliance.

About Reliance

Reliance is an MSP that brings IT back to what it should be: reliable, secure, and an accelerator of growth and development. Not as a standalone solution, but as a cohesive whole that brings peace of mind, continuity, and acceleration.

With offices in Amsterdam and Breda, we help organizations throughout the Netherlands move forward.

Your Role as Strategic Contract Manager

You are the driving force behind strategic growth. You take our Large Accounts to the next level while simultaneously developing new opportunities within SMB+ and Small Enterprise. You operate at the executive level, orchestrate complex projects, and ensure that everything comes together: vision, people, propositions, and results.

You switch effortlessly between strategy development and execution. From boardroom discussions to closing deals, you stay in control and ensure that value creation remains central.

What You’ll Be Doing Specifically

  • Strategically developing assigned Large Accounts with a focus on growth and deepening partnerships.
  • Identifying and realizing high-value commercial opportunities within existing client relationships.
  • Developing and implementing account roadmaps and value-driven propositions.
  • Actively developing new business within the SMB+ and Small Enterprise segments, with a focus on strategic deals.
  • Building and maintaining executive-level relationships and positioning Reliance as a strategic partner.
  • Leading complex commercial processes such as RFPs, tenders, and multi-stakeholder deal processes.
  • Developing strong business cases and solution propositions in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
  • Forecasting and pipeline management at the strategic level.
  • Achieving commercial targets for MRR, Professional Services, and hardware and software.
  • Establishing and ensuring governance with clients to accelerate decision-making and make value measurable.

Your Profile

We’re not looking for a traditional business developer, but rather a strategic professional who thinks in terms of value, relationships, and long-term impact. Someone who is confident, earns trust at the C-level, and knows how to successfully navigate complex processes.

  • HBO or WO level of education and thinking.
  • At least 7 years of experience in enterprise sales, business development, or strategic account development.
  • Demonstrable experience with complex deals, tenders, and multi-stakeholder processes.
  • In-depth knowledge of IT and MSP propositions and digital transformation.
  • Strong at building executive relationships and managing stakeholders at the executive level.
  • Commercially and analytically strong: you translate data and insights into concrete strategies and actions.
  • Experienced in developing business cases and value-based selling.
  • Excellent communication skills: clear, persuasive, and to the point.
  • Entrepreneurial, proactive, and taking ownership comes naturally to you.
  • You thrive in an environment that fosters freedom, self-confidence, and responsibility.

What We Offer You

  • A competitive senior-level salary.
  • Bonus plan based on strategic KPIs and achieved growth.
  • Contract for 32 or 40 hours per week.
  • Leased car (EV or plug-in hybrid) appropriate for the seniority of the role.
  • Laptop and phone to do your job effectively and flexibly.
  • 25 days off based on full-time employment, plus one volunteer day.
  • Annual training budget.
  • A budget for employee benefits of 20 euros per month through Alleo.
  • Flexible work arrangements: at the office, at the client’s location, or from home, wherever you make the most impact.
  • A high degree of autonomy and trust in how you organize your work.
  • An organization where autonomy is the norm and where you have a direct influence on growth and market positioning.
